The 2024 parade will start and end at Brisbane Botanic Gardens on Alice Street and will continue along the same route as in 2023 on Saturday 16th March 10:30am – 11:30am. Due to flooding in 2022, we adjusted the parade route to proceed down Margaret Street instead of Mary Street due to flood works and repairs. We will proceed down this same route again in 2024.
Participation spaces are limited but we try our best to accommodate all who want to join in on the fun. We encourage all participants to be as creative and festive as possible and embrace this years’ theme of ‘Irish Myths and Legends. Remember – the bigger and brighter the better!
The most impressive float, decided by the committee members and dignitaries on the day, will be awarded “The Jan Dooley St. Patrick’s Day Parade Best Float Award” for the most outstanding float on show.
Please read the participation rules below before applying.
